Ode to a Dragonslayer
XVI
I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen with my own two gnome eyes,
Let me share with you a tale of bravery, how a mighty white dragon dies.
The dragonslayer and I were traveling off the road, through snow cover hills,
When the dragon descended upon us, it’s evil aura of fear gave me the chills.
The massive white dragon reared is scaley head and visciously roared,
The dragonslayer calmly walked towards it, drawing his holy great sword.
And so I hid behind a tree, when I heard the great wyrm’s fierce sound,
The dragonslayer never flinched, with a single blow he knocked the dragon to the ground.
I feared for my life and feared the dragonslayer would end up dead,
Peaking around the tree, I spied the heroic slayer lop off the dragon’s head.
I could have never imagined such a feat, I am no sage or predictor,
For he saved my life that day, all hail the mighty dragonslayer VICTOR!
