Man, I’m sorta jealous. When I was at Stanford for a couple years, there was only ever a 5.0 some distance away, and I slept through it.
Now, clearly, I didn’t want to be around for the Big One, but I did want to feel a smaller one.
I doubt there’s much chance of one happening here in Boston, although I did read about some academic types (damn skinny goose necked nerd learnin fellas) who predicted that Boston has a nonzero chance of an earthquake, and if we got one, our infrastructure is so unprepared for it the damage would be terrible.
