okay!! so after some long hours of research on this one, I have found the answer. Opi, you are dead on with your description of my situation. So what I found was the crit rebuild file… NWNEnglish1.69OrigUpdate.exe would not work… but what I really needed, as you should understand why, was… NWNEnglish1.69HotUUpdate.exe

Anyone see the difference?

Bare in mind I have the diamond edition which is NWN, SoU, HotU, and kingmaker…

This was a simple fix, but with no information readily available, and Bioware no longer supporting NWN with Vista it turned out to be a major pain in the arse….

I guess thats the beauty of the internet…. The answer is out there…..
