Looks like it’ll be a completely different type of film than the original…I honestly wonder why they want to use the same name as a previously-made film when it appears it will be quite different.

Reminds me a lot of 300. I hadn’t seen that entire film, but from what I recall the video-gamey metal soundtrack (totally out of place), the mixture of slow-motion poses and sped-up CG action sequences seems to be the new way to make action films these days.

Who is the guy with the monster face?

This remake will do just as well as 300, as it looks to me like a film intended for the same audience.
