Soak the plank for an hour in water to make it smoke and not burst into flame.
Olive oil on the plank.
Seasoning was typical salt, pepper, oregano, basil type stuff. May have used lemon pepper. Season plank.
Place salmon on plank, oil and season salmon as you did the plank.
New recipe I have used is soy sauce and brown sugar. Soak the salmon in soy sauce for a few hours to a day. Same bit with the plank, soak it and oil it a bit, but the coat the top of the salmon with brown sugar. It melts down over the fish and it really is a nice flavor mixture of sweet and salt.
