A parchment hangs in mid-air in exactly the same spot the globe of light appeared. It reads . . . We journeyed north of Cona
Climbed mountains stark and gray,
I stayed close behind him,
Feeling sure I’d loose my way .
Then through a cave of wind we went
And out the other side.
Creeping stealthily past a clearing,
Where dire bears reside.
We came upon a tower reaching high above the ground . . .
And in it, flame that wasn’t . . .
At last, a treasure found!!
Oh joy! My wish was granted!
Indeed the gods are kind!
Pray often to them, children . . .
Someday a trove you’ll find!
Attached to the bottom of the parchment with what seems to be a golden thread, is a tiny silver ring set with two beautiful diamonds.
The words, “For a little frog I met one day . . .” Have been added to the note.
