Just read the first post. Fake or not is your call; either way, hilarious.

June 4, 2008 at 8:18 pm #56554I don’t understand why is that funny? The man is only trying to fix the motor to make his car go faster, or something like that. Right?
Kel 🙂

June 4, 2008 at 11:53 pm #56557I don’t get it?
🙄
Later, after the lot of perouser dogs bumped the reply numbers he asks, “I gotta pick up my girlfriend, is it ok to drive it?”. Then he posts, ‘It’s running rough.”
Well, No s*&$. O’rly? That’s 3 posts. His total life on the boards. 3 posts.
Hilarious, yes also funny how quick people were to just be calling him a dumb**** Rahter than question the validity of his stupidity/seriousness. Of course this is an Audi forum.
A quote from a movie I seen recently but forget which it was exactly, “You know cars like that are allot like porccupines, cept withe the cars, t he pricks are on the inside.” Semi-true in Seattle. But not really, it’s Volvo drivers….. 😆June 5, 2008 at 12:04 am #56558ok ok, stick with me here. Running sand in your engine is like running sand through your veins. Good for you?

June 9, 2008 at 7:24 pm #56561heh I knew you’d get a good chuckle out of it. I truly wonder if it was for real or not. I can’t believe anyone would do that. I’m no car genius but I wouldn’t think this was a good idea.

June 9, 2008 at 10:45 pm #56562This is most certainly a joke post! No one! and I mean NO ONE!! would do this. It is not possible it port a manifold with sand and air flow!! You could hook a manifold on a flow bench and run sand through it for ten years and it would make a negligible difference. The only way to port( e.g. make the internal diameter or runner larger so it can flow more air) a manifold is to manually remove the material with a grinder, or a process called extrude honing. Extrude honing uses a heavy abrasive clay that is non-compressible, this is forced through the manifold at extreme pressures( thousands of PSI) and will remove the material very evenly, and leaves a smooth surface that is desirable for good air flow.
