When I came to visit you made salmon on the grill, you put the fish on top of a chunk of cedar I believe. What else did you do to make it edible as far as seasoning n stuff.

Soak the plank for an hour in water to make it smoke and not burst into flame.

    Olive oil on the plank.

Seasoning was typical salt, pepper, oregano, basil type stuff. May have used lemon pepper. Season plank.

Place salmon on plank, oil and season salmon as you did the plank.

New recipe I have used is soy sauce and brown sugar. Soak the salmon in soy sauce for a few hours to a day. Same bit with the plank, soak it and oil it a bit, but the coat the top of the salmon with brown sugar. It melts down over the fish and it really is a nice flavor mixture of sweet and salt.

Yeah, if it doesn’t have an arrow sticking out of it, he can’t cook it. He musta missed and hit the water – sort of.

Yes, the arrow is the only beginning to any great grilled item, just ask these Kansas turkeys.

Yes, I finally ventured back to Kansas, NO, I did NOT visit Dude or Gump.

Is that not a great redneck type photo? Next time maybe I’ll just wear blue bibs and no shirt? Really need to regrow my Kentucky Waterfall.

naw dude, that don’t look redneck at all. You look all pro and stuff! If you really wanted to rock the red, you would have ditched the man victorious vs nature poses and gone for the nonplussed (wearing Earnhardt glasses/stache) 1000 yard stare theme.

…And instead of a bow, arm yourself with a baseball bat with a couple nails stuck in it.

Yeah muddy you look far to professional to be redneck. However, why does your tent look like it’s on its side? That shoop is hilarious btw.
