    Let me guess…

    You lost 798 (which = 38 x 21) upon respawning with Garm.

Hmm, I think you should die less.

I’ll let you all figure out what’s changed.

Acckkk!! Now we get more XP loss the MORE we die!?!?! And here I thought Garm enjoyed our little backgammon nights….

I suggest a better formula: Death * Level (- score at backgammon) = XP loss…

    😉

    Level times death count?…wow..

Just wouldve been nice for a heads up, thats all i am saying. because its not like we can decrease how many times we’ve died..

any particular reason for the new exp deduction?

It just wouldve been nice to know about it.

Think of it like this …

You are acclimating to the other side. To death. It’s harder and harder for Garm to send you back. So he takes more as his price.

Or he’s just greedy and tired of seeing you.

It’s been in game for months.

I am surprised no one has mentioned it before this.

And, you don’t learn it if you are told. You have to experience it to learn it.

This reminds me of one of my favorite sayings, a Chinese proverb I learned when doing a little reading about Robert Lee Moore (a mathematician who developed a well known teaching style):

    “I hear, I forget. I see, I remember. I do, I understand.”

Works for marriage too… most guys don’t realize what they’re getting into till they say, “I do”… then they understand! 😉

maybe there should be some method for sliding off death counts on that thing. Inevitiably someone will reach the threshhold if they play long enough. Ghak for instance is no frequent die’er but if my count is right he’s approaching the threshhold as well. Maybe it should be modified by time between deaths, or old deaths should just fade away and be taken off the counter.
