PROPS to SMR for the bringing us the Auger Bit Syndicate! Last nights instalment at the abandoned Gnomish mine was loads of fun. Double PROPS to Fram Orcsbane for rolling a natural twenty on his persuade check. Ha! 🙂
EDIT – Sorry this was meant to be in the PROPS thread.. I’m not sure what happened.
September 17, 2007 at 12:34 pm #53035Oh yeah…How did I forget that?!?!
And it came at a perfect time: haggling for the best price! Well done with those rolls, man!

see the above for a reminder of how the bargaining could have gone ! 🙂
all good stuff, cute means of disabling traps for the unroguely, gnomish devices, and Hamar’s now favourite nightmare.. The Chestripper!
Auger Bit and Obsidian Dwarf are tailor made for laugh-a-minute adventuresome expeditions like this.. More! .. Encore!

You know… I’ve always called those things the chest-strippers… Oppps! 😛
September 17, 2007 at 6:01 pm #53038Hey, that thing only killed me twice and removed my armor, shield, and axe! Other than that, I PWNED it.
September 17, 2007 at 6:01 pm #53039Actually, the real nightmare was trying to craft chainmail from the platinum I mined. I reckoned 45% would be PLENTY to get me over the hump…AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yea, I think Hamar pretty much showed it who was boss.
Nice throw-away line you had for us though when Hamar finally came around: ” ….. I’m nekkid!”
🙂
