Hope everyone is ok in NY? I know a lot of you live in that area, and I hope all of you are safe and doing well.

November 1, 2012 at 6:48 pm #58652I lost power and heat for two and a half days. My storm door got blown off of the frame but things seem to be back to normal now. My dog and I were staying at random places with power so it was interesting to say the least.
Trees were down (completely uprooted) and there is lots of damage to most of NE Ohio. Fun times. Hopefully we will see sun soon enough.
December 18, 2012 at 7:45 pm #58653Eight days no power, with a snowstorm the 5th day. The worst was no gasoline supplies. People were ready to fight over the gas, not because of the cars, but because the gas was needed for the generators. The Long Beach area is STILL without power for the most part, because the buildings had their basements and first floors under water. Other than that, things were just peachy. 95mph winds were recorded in Islip. 🙂
