So some of you know my problems with my instant messengers… they log off by themselves all the time, right?
Well now no matter what I do whenever I turn the machine on they automatically log themselves on, even after reboots or anything else I try.
Go figure.
June 17, 2008 at 1:45 am #56671You got spyware my friend. Soyware that is sabotaging your IM. I bet if you go get the Google Im it will suddenly go away. Google… the evil Loki on the internet….
That is strange problem, you sure you need to fix it?
June 17, 2008 at 1:55 am #56672i don’t know what my machine has…
and if i get one more instant messenger i’ll go nuts.
June 17, 2008 at 4:05 am #56673Muddy, it’s an option in most of them to log on during startup. You can find it in most of their option menu’s. No, I don’t know where it is. I use pidgin … not a bad IM’er if you just want to use multiple accounts. It’s getting better with every edition too.

June 17, 2008 at 8:45 am #56674I use meebo.com for IM management these days. No install… it is just a website with some flash stuff. If I want IM on, I go to the website and log in. If I don’t want to be bothered by IM, I don’t go to the site.
I’ve also used it to get around firewalls that block IM. 😉
June 18, 2008 at 1:08 am #56675June 18, 2008 at 1:12 am #56676Meebo? Now that sounds like a Muddy solution. Sounds like a slick service. I can see where that would come in handy if using Library pc’s or being at work, …(looks up to Cors post)… I can see some using it in the future here.
June 18, 2008 at 3:17 am #56677ya some of the primaries at work use Meebo, because you don’t have to install anything. What IM’ers does it support?
