Warning to all Markshire Residents! Late yesterday afternoon in Stonemark as I was making my way to the Coopery in Market Square, I was set upon from behind and garroted by a crazed woman.

Before I lost consciousness I managed to twist a little in her grasp, and was able to catch a brief glimpse of her. Her legs were bare and heavily tattooed. Her loin cloth and top were drab and brown in color. She was wearing a helm fashioned of copper and there was a purple glow coming out of the eye slits. I’m sure the glow was from her eyes.

Set into the top of her helm was an ornamentation. It appeared to be black horse hair standing about six inches high and tightly woven into the shape of a broom! Briefly it occurred to me, that if she somehow were inverted, one might be able to do quite a good job of sweeping a floor with her! Oh, the silliness that passes through a persons’ mind in the moments before death!

If you see this person please do not attempt to apprehend her! She is extremely dangerous and could hurt you! Report your sighting to the guards.

Fortunately, all was not lost that afternoon. A stranger who happened to be in the area came to my rescue. She tugged me away from Garm’s clutches and healed my wounds. Her name is Vala, and I am indebted to her for her kindness.

I, too, was attacked by this vile woman. I was in the park in Stonemark, enjoying the sounds of the falls, when, all of a sudden, I was attacked from behind. The woman strangled me with such strength and ferocity that I was unable to fend her off. I was also unable to get a glimpse of her, partly due to the dark of night, partly due to my shock at being attacked in what is normally such a peaceful place.

She left me for dead just as quickly as she had attacked me, but as luck would have it, my friend Ashard found me and saved me from almost certain death.

Be wary of Stonemark. There is a violent woman on the loose. I was saved by a friend, but the next victim may not be so lucky.

Someone should do something about that…
