Magic Chests & Crafting Book not working

I hate to say this, but the Magic Chests are not working.
Sar, Red, and myself tried to get into our magic chests
and were unable to do so. I tried a few characters to be
sure and to no avail.

At first I thought it was that my CD Key had changed, so
I went back and entered in all my old CD Keys, but that
didn’t help. And Red says he’s still using his original CD
Key, so I think we’re dealing with a bigger issue.

Sar also mentioned that the Crafting Book in our inventory
is no longer displaying what we’ve worked in. I looked at
Bel’s since he had some xp in crafting weapons, and all of
his skills were set back to to 1.

I wonder how long ago all of this started? I know many of
us haven’t played the game in a long time, 1.69 maybe?

If you hadn’t restarted your Crafting or Chest when we lost the database when Valhalla 1 died, then they are still lost with that server.

You can review the issues from that crash

If you did restart your Chest and Crafting since that tragedy and have lost them again, then I will have to look into it but it’s doubtful that it will be recovered.

Ahh, I didn’t know that. Looks like they went the way of the dinos then. Oh well, stuff happens. Guess it’s going to be up to me to get out there and start killing things again, lol. 🙂

Just to add, all three of my characters(that have chests) have access to their chests, and all three are full of the correct stuff, however all three are labeled “Braetai’s Chest”???

I am pretty sure you restarted your older PCs’ chests after the DB recovery. Obviously, newer PCs got new chests.

The name thing is odd but not new. I think it has something to do with login and how the game’s supposed to use the Gamespy servers for Id.
