July 23, 2007 at 8:38 pm #50970Vern, you magnificent b******. It had to be done and you did it beautifully. One of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. Brother bear never saw the stunning flipper coming.
My hat’s off to you. You make the Flightless proud.
July 25, 2007 at 4:35 pm #50971Shoutout to G for last night. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long, long time.
July 25, 2007 at 5:02 pm #50972By the gods, YES!!! I couldn’t even concentrate on setting up the poor bastards he was supposed to whack.
When Spana went off to be by herself, you shoulda SEEN the ‘tells’ flying!!
July 25, 2007 at 5:30 pm #50973heheh, props to the guys behind the screen last night and the players as well. I had a lot of fun, I hope you all did too 🙂
July 25, 2007 at 6:22 pm #50974*sighs* Children always seem to pick the best times to get you angry.
Sorry I was so out of it and had to leave.
*goes off to have another long…. discussion with her daughter*
July 26, 2007 at 4:29 am #50975Yeah, tonight was pretty awesome.
Sorry about the speed bumps in the beginning, but we worked our way through it, didn’t we? 😳 😉 Like I said, it’s all a learning experience. …Anyone catch any screen shots when it all hit the fan?
Thanks to everyone for treating this event with maturity and the gravity needed to make it work. And it’s great to see stuff like Bulletin Board messages, journal entries, and other stuff related to this storyline, and it originally started with a single player! The fact that so many others are involved in one way or another is excellent. Hats off to you all for stepping up and taking more facets of the responsibility of the storyline on to yourselves.
Major props to SarKhan for rolling with everything I’ve been throwing at Kyle. 🙂 He’s totally embracing it. LOTS of fun.

I captured quite a few screenies for posterity. Here is one of it all kicking off. It might be a bit blurred, I was laughing so much it was hard to hold the camera still. 🙂

Awesome event, props to you s-m-r and Sar and everyone else who participated!
July 26, 2007 at 11:58 am #50977Hahahaha!
That one sums it all up, right there. Capturing my “//WHOA!” is priceless… 😛
July 26, 2007 at 1:14 pm #50978Great shot Brind! Definitely captures the moment it all went down.
And great job to everyone last night, it was much fun. And it let Doog bring out some other aspects of his personality that haven’t been apparent as of yet.

July 26, 2007 at 5:27 pm #50980Hey I want to Give S-M-R Some props as well. It was a great event I only died twice and hell he almost had me feeling guilty for even creating Kyle. And well the Free for all was rather funny I almost fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. oh and Props to Vru as well he was in rare form although it is rather disturbing what it takes to get that guy in a good mood.
July 26, 2007 at 6:50 pm #50981Sending a few souls to the Mistress usually perks him up….. 😉

July 26, 2007 at 7:01 pm #50982It was great last night. And here’s my screen shot of it.
July 27, 2007 at 2:50 pm #50983Props to Prisca and Caspian last night. That was some emotional, sad, funny, wonderful rp. Thanks you two. 😀
July 27, 2007 at 3:51 pm #50984I must give credit and kudo’s to two wonder and very dangerous players both Spana and Prisca for last nights very moving preformance. It was a fine crest to the artistic and story driven little plot that the three of us have well err I got roped into.. but I don’t think I would change it. It has been a very long time since I have had such emotional and touching roleplay that was not DM driven.
So to both of you thank you and if any DM’s were watching I hope you found those two performance as moving as I did.On a side note as Caspian would say.. Those two will be the death of me 🙂
August 1, 2007 at 2:21 am #50985PROPS to the gang online this evening.
The RES “glitch” made a huge mess and your patience allowed me to fix it ASAP.
If I missed anyone in the recovery portion of that mess please PM me.
Again, much thanks.
August 1, 2007 at 3:33 am #50986Props to T for the fast fix.
August 1, 2007 at 4:23 am #50987Props to T. That was great and quick recovery.
Also props to Caspian, Prisca, Sar, Osay and Thorvald. That was just so much fun tonight… great rp and very entertaining.
August 2, 2007 at 9:36 pm #50988I would have to say props to those who were involved in the short CvC showdown in Thrym’s pass last night. Group of baddies runs into group of goodies… throw down ensues. It went very well I thought.
August 3, 2007 at 7:50 am #50989Extra Props to you muddy for trying to keep us from suffering a XP loss by running around trying to heal everyone. And thanks to the rest for the Raises when that failed

Seconded. Much fun and handled with class all around I thought.
Here’s how it looked from my end:
Doog sees Brak.
LT craps. Luckily diapers are still plentiful in the house.
Doog rages, goes right for Brak.
Doog takes maybe two hits, goes down.
Stone giant hits Doog with rock, off to Hel we go.
LT sighs, then laughs.
At least Aels did better with Keliana. For a while.
August 3, 2007 at 2:32 pm #50991it was the first time i’ve ever seen brak, and i’m still wondering the same thing as when i first saw him: “what the hell is that thing…?”
it was cool. it was rather frantic, and it took me a couple seconds to realize what was going on. it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. groovin’ man.
but what is brak? is he a gibberling or a gorilla or something?

BRAK STRONGEST!
that’s really all you need to know.
August 3, 2007 at 4:29 pm #50993Brak is Rok’s nuclear weapon, and Rok is NOT afraid to push the button.
August 4, 2007 at 12:33 am #50994I did some reading of the logs this evening. Some folks have done a very solid job of dealing with something more that just killing things. I have read conversations that show that the plots put into motion are being read, pondered, and dealt with very well by the characters.
Cuz, Phantom, Kyle, you’ve made researching the players actions over the last couple of days very enjoyable. Thanks.
August 4, 2007 at 12:39 am #50995Yes, I think you guys handled the CvC very well btw, oh and of course Ghak walked out to go check on something just before the two groups met. *sigh*
BTW, BRAK STRONGEST!

August 4, 2007 at 12:45 am #50996Actually, this is another good point. From the sounds of things you dealt with the scenario very well. If the other side deals with similar odds with such aplomb, I won’t have any CvC worries for some time to come. Thanks for being pros guys.
August 4, 2007 at 2:02 pm #50997To the DM last night who RP’d with Arne after he got smoked by a random PK’r 😮
The funny thing is I had just returned from a trip to Hel, and was walking out of the Red Dragon with 1 HP when about five feathers magically sprouted in my chest, leaving me with a “here we go again” feeling 😆
But I didn’t die, and found out that players can only subdue, so after staggering as close to the temple as a wounded adventurer could, out rushed the good Father to my aid 😉
And I don’t know if she/he was the same one who ran the little old lady’s “Wolf” quest, but props for that as well. I only wish it was not so late for me, as I really would have loved to find that cave.
Oh, and as for “some things are tougher than you, run or die”…it should be “run and die”. Somehow I never make it far enough away fast enough. 😛
