Last night’s lightning storm caused a brown out which disconnected the modem here long enough to cause Verizon to roll my IP address. So our new IP address for direct connection is 71.182.125.253.
I changed the DNS for markshire.net to point at that IP address so once that has migrated the Gnome, Garm and such will be working as well as the markshire.net domain to connect to the server.
Thanks for your patience.
June 16, 2008 at 12:54 am #56119Note – The server IP changed again, to
68.238.85.93:5121
Please note it, or you can look Markshire up in the Role Play section.

June 16, 2008 at 1:53 am #56120Weird. We had a brief windstorm through here but I didn’t seem to lose power.
So chances are my 6 month IP change came up with Verizon.
Sorry folks.
The http://www.markshire.net address is repointed and should be effective asap. The DNS takes about an hour to propagate to other machines.
September 9, 2008 at 3:27 pm #56121Decent lightning storm again last night. New IP address is rolled over to http://www.markshire.net.
Might take a bit to propagate everywhere.
So use GameSpy if markshire.net doesn’t work or direct connect to 71.123.20.96.
Thanks for your patience.
September 14, 2008 at 8:56 pm #56122Hmmm. It appears that my IP address changed again.
I reset http://www.markshire.net to work so it should be all set for everyone.
Just a heads up. If you can’t get in via http://www.markshire.net try Gamespy.
Thanks.
September 15, 2008 at 1:01 pm #56123And once again. Grrr. Stupid Ike.
Windstorms up this way. Many branches lost and power repeatedly browned out.
Opted to shut it all down last night.
So, today we have a new IP address and http://www.markshire.net is set to it.
All should be well with the world once more.
September 23, 2008 at 4:10 pm #56124Just FYI, Valhalla is down for a bit of Maintenance, and should be back up soon. Thrym will fill everyone in on the details as soon as he’s done.
