Meanwhile…
I’m having my new laptop repaired today via Dell tech support. After that, it’s finding Internet access, then tracking down some NWN discs (not sure where mine went to), then I’m in!
…Actually, that sounds like kind of a long, drawn-out process. But I shall persevere!
Anyone have recommendations/tweaks for running NWN through Windows 7?

According to several sources online you need to set the game to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
One online source simply said:
I just installed the game from my original Diamond edition CD, and then d/l and install the critical update. I then right-click on the game icon, and set compatibility mode for windows xp. It is running fine.
I have yet to use or even look at Windows 7 as I am in total awe of the Snap feature. I don’t think I can handle the greatness of that one feature of Windows 7. I mean, two windows, situated perfectly half-n-half on the screen. It’s just too much to comprehend. What will they think of next … real easy share networking that just works? No… that doesn’t come close to the Snap feature. I will just have to steel myself for this totally awesome feature when and if I get Windows 7.

Wow!! It was really nice to be able to play Markshire again only issue I noticed (well the only one i had any concern for ) was my chest did not work.
T I was wondering if you could delete all the chars in my account except for

As I mentioned above the DBs were fried. I got what I could from an old setup and most likely the associations will no longer work. I won’t be retrieving any of the chests. If it doesn’t work, then you’ll have to start again.

T, not that you haven’t done enough, but now that we are all popping back in to play and it’s awesome how about adding a few new bits? I’m sure scripting new quests would not be easy now so what about some new unique items for sale at different vendors, or hidden with clues on the board. IM me, I have a few simple ideas.

Just picked up some NWN CDs off eBay…I should be back in-game somewhere at the end of this month. As it turns out, my computer needs to be replaced, so once the new one comes back, it’ll be game time. 😀

Well, it’s amazing who the server rebirth brings out – I met up with Cor and Iathouz as we all logged in to the server within less than a minute. So we beat up the Blood Sprays, and then Ia went on to beat up the Ogres, I think.
Fun had all around! Good to party up again…

NWN discs have arrived…Replacement laptop is in the mail…all that remains is to leech off someone’s Internet connection (simple enough with my wireless card), and I’m in there. 8)

I bring tidings from the land of the Cult of Steve!! Mac client disks work great, for those of you so inclined.
It’s fantastic to be back and wandering around the World once again. Once I get myself reacquainted with everything I promise I’ll bring my DM wand out of storage and much fun will be had by all!!! Well…. by ME at least.
