    Since we beat Father McGreggor, we did get the lantern. BUT since we all died later to giant shamans, we lost the lantern with the giants. So, you need another group effort to go and get it back. This time though, with Opi on so we can have a witness to our deeds. (And get a physical lantern)

    I dont know why, I imagine Portales having a liking for Babycham (sparkling pear cider). I’m sure he would drink it from a c o c k t a i l glass through a straw – and have a cherry floating in it. { I never new this forum had a word censor! lol }

    I have mined enough copper to make all the shields. I can craft them any time. Tick them off the list.

    Sun has ginseng aplenty thanks to Tamar.
    Keli has begun collecting ice. It’s slow.
    “Bones” indicate ogre/giant skulls (and knuckles), not your run-of-the-bonemill 1×2 long bones. So–unless the Frost Giant King I’ve only heard about loses his head when vanquished, I think we need to start some raiding into demonskull basement and cold scale pain god. And, Voran, save your knuckles too!

    Note in this regard that Cold Scale is on the way to Cona, on the way to Cavern of Ice. Can combine trips. Also, don’t need everything for Friday–half per Opi for following Friday, so if we ain’t got ice and bones until then, so be it.

    Well done all on homework assignments to date. Given sorting Frank will have to do, and my standard late arrival on Fridays, let me know if Sun should offload some stuff so Opi can get the ball rolling on time.

    Err, we do need the lantern for Friday. Focus there?

    Sun will happily help penetrate either Father McGolgi or Giant Shaman HQ as needed. To the best of her abilities. Which probably means McGolgi would have to be asleep, or the Shamans not using the lantern. So, she might not be that much help after all. She’ll muck in, though, if needed.

    i have a lantern too…but i dont know about giving it to all you people and never getting it back…

    someone PM me if you need it…cant make it friday but i may be able to make it in game for about a half hour or so tonight

    iffin you need some stealth or fire power…i can step in for a bit tonight…might help with some of the raids you need

    Opi can chime in, but my impression was lantern will be consumed or used up at least in process. So, we probably ought to look at doing it again, tonight. Sun will check in around 9pm edt. Uh, pretty much same skills Dram-sensei offers to the party.

    No lantern in her pack, of course. Domf, pass it if you want, would be a backup option; probably out of character for Dram unless we set replacement as an apprenticeship task, for example.

    The Lantern. I will allow Domf’s solution. If Dram has one, then McGreggor made himself a new one. Then there are two lanterns. Yes, I did want to be there as there is no physical drop from him for proof. After the wipe out I saw, it is possible and likely, but tough to swallow, that changing a mage like Monty out for another did the trick. I mean, Monty is the best mage out there. SO good his reign usually encompases the entire group and your backside sometimes.
    I am working on some stuff for work and was at a dinner the other night. So, my avaiability will be taken into account despite prior statements.

    Friday Episode 7 ‘Medic! Medic!’
    On time and on schedule! Have your papers ready for this ride, there is no stops and no restrooms along the way. And there is allot of water to drink and many bumps!

    Location One

    The Shaft Giver’s heart, opened at the base of the tree. Grippli shall guard it with their lives. Fight until death for the sake of the Shaft Giver. The Last location to visit, the last instructions must use.

    1. Hibernate: Set Shaft Giver to rest (completed by Master Threecard)
    2. Rope: Cut strands 8 badgers long
    Measure length with and mark with 2 coils, uncoil to opposite bundle and cut until all rope cut
    3. Bronze Shields: Hang with rope about heart
    Loop rope through shields holes, anchor ropes to ceiling with Grippli Sticks Sharps
    4. Glacial Ice: Extinguish fires with 3 glacial ice
    Fan ice as flames until near for setting on side, fan tell flame frozen

    Location Two

    Second opening not allowed at Shaft Giver. Frank walk to find close hop for opening to location two. Find venting steam close to road, open above belching pit. Here is not far from Location one. Here is second location must visit after the first location is visited.

    1. Lantern of McGreggor: Power in lantern exploded over belching pond.
    Grippli Sticks Blunts striking lantern over pond will explode, careful belches not blow lantern away from reach. (completed ep. 7)
    2. Glacial Ice: Place as described in Instructions on Location One. Gas flames here must be frozen
    3. Graveyard Dirt: Sprinkled over belching pit after Lantern.
    The jars must burst and sprinkle about middle, cover burns from blast of the lantern, bring new life to dead earth. Grippli Stick Blunts shall shatter jars or bags in the right manor. (completed Ep. 7)

    Location Three

    Long walk North with Shaft Giver at back, small earth quake under Grippli makes walk long and jagged a Shaft Giver sway. Opening possible at foundation of land and home for third location to visit after second location is treated. Frank look in hole, long tunnels are good for seeding good soil.

    1. Bones: Broken and piled, raised and slain to be released from their prison along the path.
    2. Fish: Deposited along path in small holes, covered.
    Dig small holes, place fish in hole, run sword through fish into ground and remove sword, cover fish, run through covered fished with sword into ground again and remove sword, cover more if need.
    3. Silk: Provide homes for spiders and aphid catchers along path
    Needle and thread the silk about Grippli Sticks Sharps anchored in corners.

    Location Four

    From Location Three the path leads west again, and north. Near a log home in a stump of a dead root sprout. Opening the first location to be visited Frank thought not enter. Underground water source must be cleansed first. For not have any items for location one, proceed for second location to visit, have not the items for the second location proceed to third location to visit, for not items for this third location proceed Location One for last location to visit. Perform instructions for each location in order of list. For not for one hop over for two, if not for two hop on for three.

    1. Emeralds: Thrown a manageable distance into largest pools. ((Toss is sum of a 1d20))
    2. Sugar: Canisters tossed over the landing of the emeralds. At least five must land near. ((within 3+/-))
    3. Sand: Tossed over the landing of the sugar. At least 4 must land near((as above))
    4. Ginseng: Tossed over the landing of the first. At least three must land near. ((as above))

    Sun has cross cultural and interracial sensitivity to offer, pretty good “social” skills for what that’s worth. Linguistic difficulty (in common not elven), but probably the skills wouldn’t pass through a translator, for either. Oh–and she likes Crazy Ivan, even if they’ll be talking to the Thane. No idea really what response her gender, race, or nationality would engender in Pellytes.

    She’s available generally speaking any night starting 9 edt.

    Opi–some diplomatic specifics. Do we need to meet Frank for any more detail on existing agreements, what we are supposed to and/or “empowered” to say/offer, etc.? Or are we basically just supposed to explain gripplis’ situation and buy time/protection to allow our quest to restore their trading potential? Will we have grippli company and/or seal to provide bona fides?

    The request was to arrive to the meeting on the Grippli’s behalf and explain their situation. That is all that is requested of you. What more you do than that is up to the situation that blossoms in the midsst of Thane’s boosum.

    If you want to ask Frank some spicifics of the trade agreement before going, you may. You don’t need to as far as Frank is concerned.
