Jake Delhomme.. living the NFL dream. I can now resume celebrating the awesomeness since he’s going to be our backup.
I forgot how bad awesome these were

If you don’t root for Carolina, your backup qb is not this expensive, or awesome.

Ha! Now you’ll still pay him, and not have him as a backup. TOTES AWESOME!

I think he’s already gotten that bonus, and he’s rockin’ in Cleveland. There will be no Fox giving Jake another shot.
Even better
It’s an uncapped year so all those vet cuts and cap hits don’t hurt a bit. Carolina has all of 4 players on the roster 30+ years old.
March 26, 2010 at 3:25 pm #58439I think he’s getting paid his normal contract the entire year, due to some snafu in how the Cats wrote the contract. Still you’re right though, as things are uncapped, it doesn’t alter what they could put on the field (except ownership might not be a fan of replacing the 12 million they’re paying a player they don’t have).
Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to seeing the wreckage that is Delhomme in Cleveland.
March 30, 2010 at 7:50 pm #58440I hate.
My team.

EDIT – This image removed because it’s really just too extreme for words.
April 19, 2010 at 2:30 pm #58442Alright, it’s draft week. Let’s hear what you hope your team addresses.
I’m with the conventional wisdom on the Patsies: outside linebacker. Adalius Thomas is dogging it, I dont even remember who played opposite most of the time with Vrabel leaving before the start of last season. Those guys produced nothing last year (Hel, Thomas hasn’t done JACK since he signed that fat contract to come here).
We need a big fast kid with a mean streak. Being able to bring a bit more pressure would help the secondary, which is young but has some potential.
Another WR would be good too. Moss’s future isn’t clear, Welker is gonna get his arms and legs ripped off some day. But the Pats do have three 2nd round picks, so hopefully can get some good value there.
April 21, 2010 at 4:32 pm #58443Bears draft: O-line, r.Guard, r.Tackle, center, l.guard, l.tackle, then O-line. maybe a WR too?
Cutler will find his grove this year, 1-2 of Chester Taylor and Matt Forte will be amazing.
and G, thanks for Julius peppers. With gains Adams departure from this realm we needed some one to fill the hole.
April 21, 2010 at 4:35 pm #58444April 21, 2010 at 5:26 pm #58445Heh, having had Forte in MFFL last year, I can tell you too they Bears need some O line help. Course, didn’t they give up a bunch of their draft picks for Cutler?
Cutler better improve, else he’ll be jumped and pummeled by the likes of these dudes
April 21, 2010 at 7:30 pm #58446And just like that, the commish says “Sit for 6, buddy.”

RETURN TO GLORY!
April 21, 2010 at 7:59 pm #58447Damn, The Patsies don’t play Steely’s Boys until Wk 10.
April 23, 2010 at 4:23 pm #58448Another DB? What’s going on Bill?
April 26, 2010 at 3:31 pm #58449At least we got a punter who could kick everyone’s arse (6’4″, 240#, 16 reps in the bench press)!
I’d like to see Zoltan versus the Polish PowderKeg in a kick off of Slavic proportions!
April 30, 2010 at 1:34 am #58450Was kinda hoping meathead would be traded…
Can’t wait for MFFL.
May 5, 2010 at 9:41 pm #58451May 6, 2010 at 3:33 am #58452Better start thinking about the keeper rules….

June 14, 2010 at 2:59 pm #58453NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo
Thomas Davis torn ACL (same one he jacked up 7 months ago). Rushed his ass back out there too early.
FS@D#$ %R@ !!!!!!!!!!!
61 tackles 5 pd 2 int’s may not seem like a lot for an WOLB… but that was in 7 games.. and that’s 16 more tackles, 3 more pd and 2 int’s more than Jon Beason in the same span of games.
That production isn’t going to be easily replaced. This guy returning healthy was the big reason I thought our defense was going to be okay (even after losing Peppers and Harris).
June 14, 2010 at 3:04 pm #58454Torn knee ligaments do indeed suck G.

It’s hilarious bad football, and you can tell a tortured 49er fan put it together.
July 16, 2010 at 6:34 pm #58456Turns out one of my new neighbors was the Boston Herald’s Pats beat reporter for like 20 years until he retired 5 years ago.
I’m totally gonna get him drunk at the next block party and see what I can dig up about the Hoodie.
Stay tuned.

July 19, 2010 at 4:37 pm #58458What, you think I’m gonna learn something bad or something? I only figured I’d learn about all of Bill’s charitable giving and volunteer service.
*tries to retain composure*
*crack in stony visage starts just above left eyebrow, a barely noticeable twitch*
*proceeds to to eye and upper lip*
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ok, my coach is an a-hole, who’d sell his own mother to learn a single audible call on the opp. NO ONE DENIES THIS!
As for the neighbor, I also want to pump him for info on Brady and the whole goat thing.
There’s a story in there that is crying out to be told.
August 3, 2010 at 4:48 pm #58459Lol @ Vikings for putting all their eggs in the Favre basket.
They passed on McCoy and Clausen in the 2nd round to pick up a guy that’s going to play nickle/dime this season btw. So now their stuck with Tardaris Jackson.

This was the 3rd interception that Moore threw in the Giants endzone in a 13 point loss.
Thanks bud!
Moore went to the hospital after the game for a concussion (confirmed) and a labia contusion (unconfirmed).
September 13, 2010 at 6:47 pm #58465That was…..AWESOME!
What a great weekend of football though. Can I just say one more thing:
