Here’s hoping that the Pats have back to back picks in the upcoming draft, 33rd and…..!
January 5, 2011 at 5:46 pm #58497I like Mike Tomlin’s style. Check it here:
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d81d4de76/Sound-FX-Tomlin-wired
I like this vid for two reasons: first, Tomlin knew the ball boy’s name, and that he was choosing where to go to college. That’s cool. Second, any Heath Miller highlights were part of my dismantling of Bonesy in the MFFL Super Bowl. (Oh, and that sack of Rapistberger might have been Charles Johnson points as well!)
January 5, 2011 at 11:33 pm #58498I was never that familiar with Tomlin, but having watched that video, now I see why the Steelers have been doing so well. He knows how to lead and inspire without being a jerk. And I agree, anyone that is interested in his team enough to talk with the ball boy and remember personal information, cares about his players, and as a direct result, they will play better for him.
I also like that they are having fun out there – football is a game, not a business, at least to me.M3C
January 6, 2011 at 9:16 pm #58499There just ain’t no Luck in Pantherville this year, is there G?
HAR HAR HAR
Go PATS!
January 8, 2011 at 1:12 am #58500Sorry, I wasn’t dangling from Luck’s beanbag anyway. Adding another rookie QB to the team isn’t going to be a right now answer in the toughest div in the NFL.
January 17, 2011 at 12:57 am #58501*starts shopping for vest supplies and Jets patch for LT … a large patch*
5 Sacks on Brady!
Time to ramp up for the Steelers.
You’re going down BTP!!!

January 18, 2011 at 2:57 pm #58503Pats got outplayed and outcoached, no doubt. Not anything good to take away. Other than the beginnings of a nice rivalry. Though that still sucks cause we were on the loosing end.
GO STILLERS!
January 21, 2011 at 2:59 pm #58504January 21, 2011 at 6:33 pm #58505Prediction
Aaaaaaron gonna strap on and break it off in that D. 2 TD’s in 2 games won’t carry over to a 3rd.
January 21, 2011 at 7:45 pm #58506My picks:
Pack
Jets
January 21, 2011 at 11:29 pm #58507I can’t deny that the odds are against them. Implosion hopefully will be put off for a few more games. 8)
January 22, 2011 at 4:33 pm #58508My heart wants the Bears over the Jets, as I (naturally) hate the Pack, and I refuse to support any team that will tolerate a rapist. But my Head thinks GB will battle it out with Pittsburgh.
I live right on the fringe between Bear country and Cheese Land, if the Pack win tomorrow it will be a LONG two weeks till they lose the Superbowl and things will calm down around here.
BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS………
Boost
January 22, 2011 at 8:12 pm #58509Dude, I live in Pats land, and it’s been a LONG week since we lost to the f**king Jets. It’s still all the sports talk radio around here are discussing (with bits of Bruins Claude Julien sux and Celtics stuff).
Bring on the damn draft!
January 24, 2011 at 3:21 pm #58510Sad trombone indeed.
The NFCC game started out as expected and then turned into a hot mess of mistakes for both squads. The only consistent guy on either team was the Pack’s punter. GB spoon fed the Bears every opportunity to win. Those lapses on D late after Chicago subbed in QB #3 were epic fail. A TD drive in 80ish seconds… seriously?
Cutler’s response to meanie heads on twitter is sad trombone too.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/24/jay-cutler-had-tears-in-his-eyes-when-told-other-players-ripped-him/BTW, it has now been confirmed that Cutler suffered a sprained MCL. It has not been confirmed on how severe the Monday Morning butthurt was all over Chicago.
The AFC Div round was friggin awesome tbh, the highlight of the playoffs so far (yes, even better than wildcard Manningface or wildcard Saints humiliation at the hands of the worst playoff team ever). The Conference championship rounds were only close on the scoreboards.
Rongratsname getting humped @ the end was a surprise twist to the normally boring QB kneeldown.
Here’s to football!

Sadly, the Pack and Bear’s game was pretty dull and had the expected outcome. I was also hoping for the Bears/Jets game Boost. Oh, I I think that the Bears QB #3 was the best of them all, even though I had no idea who that guy was. *shrugs*
As for the Jets… They just couldn’t do anything right during their game. They were just so out-classed and it wasn’t even funny. Not to mention the pluthera of calls from the refs during that game, wow.
Anyways… Loots like the Steelers are gonna kick some serious Pack butt in the Superbowl. I’ll probably bet on the Pack though as I like to root for the under-dawgs. So.. I’ll be losing some quarters, hopefully not a ton of money though.
Peace,
CorganoJanuary 26, 2011 at 2:24 am #58512I was completely bored during the NFC game. Hyped up to mythic proportions and then it ended up less exciting than watching dried up dog turds get run over by a kid on a trike.
January 26, 2011 at 2:40 pm #58513This thread is not delivering on Stiller homerisms and Packer hate. Is there even a Packers fan in the house?
Here, I’ll help.
Prediction!
No doubling up rings on the /other/ middle finger for the Steelers just yet.
Wonder why our mighty president hasn’t publicly praised Rongratsname for getting HIS crap together on the football field?
zomg RAYCESS!
January 26, 2011 at 3:18 pm #58514I hate the Pack, but I can’t have Rapistberger and his team start horning in on my Bieber/Pats action. They all just a buncha juicer whiny ass titty babies.
GO PACK! I do like that Raji championship belt. That’s how you do it Aaron.
As for Vick and Rongratsname, 21 months in prison >> 4 game suspension. It’s pretty easy.

One has rings (and is playing for another), the other has felonies. That’s pretty easy too.

And your point is?

~edit note
ahem, my point is this. Rongratsname has teh POWER to cause this.
Before

Why isn’t the leader of the free world talking about him!?!?
Because he’s 1/2 racist, that’s why!
January 26, 2011 at 6:30 pm #58518My point is that the fact that Obama’s called Vick’s employer and didn’t call Rongrastname’s employer doesn’t mean jack sh*t.
What’s yours?
January 26, 2011 at 6:39 pm #58519Nothing
I was just “taking the piss”. Not everything I type is brilliance or to be taken as such. Sorry if your panties are bunched.
Really
January 26, 2011 at 6:49 pm #58520No offense, my panties ain’t bunched, it’s all good.
I like arguing stupid sh*t, whether it’s movies, sports, politics, music. Except for thermodynamics. I won’t listen to people argue about thermodynamics. Or global warming. Or how thermodynamics does or doesn’t inform our understanding of aforementioned global warming *blood runs out of ears*
Here’s something we can discuss:
#1 pick: Fairly? Green? Somebody else? WHO YA GOT G?
January 26, 2011 at 7:00 pm #58521If I had to pick today without any further scouting allowed it would be Fairly. This is of course based on him (post hype build) dominating in the national championship game.
And in the 2nd round I’d take
OHWAITWEDON’THAVETHATONE
here’s 3 names though that keep getting chucked around in Pantherland for the #1
Fairly, Green, and the CB who’s name escapes me at this moment.
BTW, I think the new staff will be just fine. The only guy I’m nervous about is the OC, he’s got kindof a dodgy last name (Chud)
January 26, 2011 at 7:06 pm #58522Peterson at CB? All those sound good, though in rebuilding I could see the case for going defense first. All the pre-draft stuff I’m reading is pretty high on Fairley, but you’re right, how much of that is from his most recent game.
Still, searching Google for “Nick Fairley dirty” gives quite a few results. That should bump him over the edge IMO.
CHUD! Cannibalistic humanoid underground dwellers? A fine surname!

CorganoWOW! Glad I was wrong! Hehe.
March 15, 2011 at 9:05 pm #58524On Thursday, April 28th “With the first pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. The Carolina Panthers select.”
[img][432:500]http://media.nola.com/lsu_impact/photo/patrick-peterson3jpg-ed57e4c1cd89b3cc_large.jpg[/img]
too many ??? with the rest of the “top of the draft” crowd imo. CB is a legit need for the cats and we haven’t had a consistent threat at KR/PR since Smith quit doing it. Win win win pick, imo.
March 15, 2011 at 9:16 pm #58525I think it’s a great pick G, I just don’t know if the Kitties will do it. Certainly preferable to Gabbert or Newton, I’d rather have him than Bowers or Fairley.
That kid is super fast, big for a corner, good player.
How you liking the start of the Rivera era?
