Yes! AN EVIL CAMPAIGN!
😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈
Titanphilia will start the second Friday of the New Year. 2009! This will run during the 6pm ( -8 GMT)This evil campaign will be open to all evil characters affiliated with the Spire. One will need to seek access to the Spire if they wish to attend this campaign. Thirteen episodes of evil manipulation plotting and kaniving adventures. This campaign was brilliantly written to run unabaided by the good if participants are successful, and evil enough. As the Good campaigns went unchallengd the evil chars will go unchallenged and under the radar of the good characters. This will probably be the last 13 episode campaign I run in MS1. I will be popping in pre-campaign to help those needing faction to the Spire.
Post here for questions and confirmation of intrest, and running communications about campaign status and updates.

December 5, 2008 at 3:03 am #57250Nice! One of my evil characters will be here for this!
December 5, 2008 at 5:48 am #57251Can I kill Bognar? Please?
December 6, 2008 at 1:26 am #57252hehehe Kill Bognar? Well, maybe. He won’t stay dead though. Sorta is covered by Odins pact.
December 6, 2008 at 3:19 am #57253There must be some loopholes to get around that, though!
Actually, if we could just cripple him in some way, that would achieve the desired effect. Anything to get him to stop walking into everyone.
December 6, 2008 at 4:22 am #57254Well, if it is only going to be you and Cor, he will paint the gates with your bloody bodies. He strong, and his kicks from walking so much, murder.
December 6, 2008 at 6:03 am #57255Man, Corgano and I make an awesome team. We’d wipe the floor with him. And then Corg would probably have Slayer cut off and keep his toes or something.
Dealing with him should at least be a side quest.
December 6, 2008 at 10:17 am #57256I will be there and what you mean your last campaign

LMAO! And you’re probably right too! 😈 And yeah, I was actually thinking of bringing Slayer. The Doctor is in… Muhaha!
December 7, 2008 at 4:44 am #57258I have an evil char who was banned from the spire, though he still has a key. Would he be eligible if he were a little less insane, and he didnt hold a grudge against that bastard mortimer who banned him.
For the record he was one of those who released the titan.
If not, and a new char is necessary due to bad blood, are there level requirements or restrictions? It wouldn’t be as fun for some lower levels if there we max level char pushing them around.
My last question for you Opi, why not do the campaign in MS2 if it’s coming along?
December 7, 2008 at 5:07 pm #57259I didn’t say there wouldn’t be campaigns in MS2. I just said my last for MS1. And I didn’t say I wouldn’t be DM’ing shorts like normal too. Just prolly the last 13 episode event in MS1.
Open to all Evil PC’s. Maxed level chars might not be as fun for the campaign. Where is the gain if your maxed out already. I would suggest middle ranged is pest. Not level 1 and not level 20. Offically, it is open to all. Bring what you will have the most fun with.
Your banned Char is banned. If he trie to come in and hear the uniter’s speech he will be kicked out and not have the oppertunity to accept/join the campaign. So, sorry, the RP would be tainted
December 7, 2008 at 7:04 pm #57260hmm maybe i ll just have him pop in for a visit, to say hello. As far as mid range evil doers, there’s no chance I’m going to have one, as I’de have to create a new one then level him up. So I guess my characters are inelligible
December 7, 2008 at 8:41 pm #57261Hey Val,
I’m sure we could get your newly created PC a few levels so it would be fun for him. After all, We have almost a month before this campaign kicks off. Just let me know what evenings you can be around.
Peace,
CorDecember 8, 2008 at 10:07 am #57262Thanks I appreciate the offer, let me think about it, it usually takes me a long time to come up with a character I like. I can’t commit to whether I’m going to do this or not, I’m not psyched about leveling a char on NWN1, on the other hand OPIs events are the reason I play NWN in the first place—good stories and rp.
December 8, 2008 at 3:38 pm #57263Would also try to help you along with a new character Val. Would be fun teaching you how to be evil!
He he!Kelly 🙂
December 8, 2008 at 10:51 pm #57264hehehehehehehehehe, teaching him how to be evil? Aels, I love ya… 🙂
Hrmm, maybe I need to reinstall NWN

December 9, 2008 at 4:04 pm #57265i am sure you find someone to take you out to the desert to get 5 or so in an evening..
December 11, 2008 at 1:46 am #57266Only 5 weeks until Launch.
I will be posting some times and days for us to get together and gert these evil PC’s ready and aquainted with the Spire. Faction isn’t just gained, it’s earned! I mean it’s not just earned, it’s stolen!
December 11, 2008 at 2:10 am #57267Trying to “teach” Valgrimm’s characters to be evil would be like trying to teach Rok to be evil.
He’s above 20 but I hope he’s welcome. I hope his necklace of ears is also welcome.
December 12, 2008 at 2:42 am #57268Lessons are always optional. But witnessed evil is 100 words over hearsay. All will need an Affinity token to enter the Spire.
Plus for those with newer chars they can get the Zairet Skadi temple faction.
December 14, 2008 at 12:32 am #57269Your banned Char is banned. If he trie to come in and hear the uniter’s speech he will be kicked out and not have the oppertunity to accept/join the campaign. So, sorry, the RP would be tainted
Just curious, but why continue a ban that occurred IC over a year and a half ago. It wasn’t like my character was caught cheating or something. I made an IC decision not to go along with the spire, and was subsequently kicked out by mortimer. Being that much time has passed, why couldn’t he be welcomed again. Especially if evil powers are aligning, it would make sense to want one of the more well known and powerful evil pcs to be included.
I really don’t get how the rp would be “tainted” if mortimer or a spire authority asked vastion to submit to the spire’s rule, and he said yes. It taints nothing. He has been alone in the woods for a year and a half, maybe he would be more likely to accept it. It is pretty cold in the woods you know.
December 14, 2008 at 1:53 am #57270I don’t want to step on opi’s toes here but I agree. If the RP can be worked out then Vastion would be readily welcome back in the Spire. Course no one would trust him, but how’s that different from the norm of the Spire?
Also, any evil characters can enter the Spire. It is only Neutrals who need the token.

December 14, 2008 at 3:22 am #57271Is that so Mule? I didn’t know about that fact witht he affinity tokens. Good, less work for me.
The taint I refer to is the going around the ban. I have no real experiance on that and as I see it up to you. If what’s his name isn’t watching to throw you out
This campaign will be all inclusive, open to all, all that can be at the spire to hear the speech that enistes an alliance to work toward the comoon goal.
December 14, 2008 at 6:59 am #57272In that same light…why would vastion want to align himself with the spire?
if its purely to get involved with this campaign…and not based on what the character would do then i would venture to say its not a valid reason..
if he were to turn over a new leaf (druid joke, get it?) then that might be something that should be taken care of in a bio or something like that…from what i remember the bios right now dont really reflect that.
btw…it probably wont be fun for a bunch of lower levels to be in a campaign with an epic…the combat wouldnt be interesting…either it would be too hard for them and they would all die every fight..or it would be really easy for you (which is what i would guess) and they wouldnt have anything to fight at all.
Rok is a bit different because he doesnt do any heavy lifting, which means he typically just swoops in at the end for an ear or something.
Either way…i would say write a bio detailing how youve tried to make amends because its highly unlikely mortimer would simply ask for someone who he has banned (regardless of how long its been) …
something about “integrity of the server” and whatnot…though i dont make those decisions so its very possible these two quarters i have been rubbing together could very well be pennies.
December 15, 2008 at 1:00 am #57273Good points Domf.
I can tell you Val, and all, this campaign is going to be based upon Revenge. Revenge upon good by the evil. “What better thing to unite all evil for a common goal, they get revenge on ________ that helped turn them evil and feel outcast.” For the sake of keeping it all a suprise I shall say no more.
Level ranges, well just remember the spawning syustem will be leaning toward the epic levels when it chooses creatures.
The majority of the difficulty will not come from combat, but from Evil RP. How evil are ya? What evil is the best evil? How much evil can fill a sack and still float?
December 15, 2008 at 1:21 am #57274Considering I’ve been a ghost on the server since the first few episodes of opi’s last campaign, I haven’t touched vastion since well before the whole tree shard campaign. If I have popped in it’s been as portales, as he’s by far the most fun to play. So Vastion’s story last left off with him hiding out in the woods, and a conflict with his daughter. I hadn’t thought of using him again until now. The logic for including him may not be that he seeks out forgiveness. A more likely senerio would be that evil power X is aligning all evil, and seeks him out, and he would agree to join if for no other reason than to destroy good. So I don’t really see a long drawn out back story about the road to forgiveness happening. It’s up to Opi if he wants him included. If not, if I have the time, I’ll make a new char. Over the past few weeks, when I’ve logged into the server there was noone on, and I just didn’t have the stomach for killing orcs alone with a level 1.
I really wish you guys would play NWN2.

Buy me a new computer and I’ll play with you whenever you want!
December 15, 2008 at 10:17 pm #57276Depending upon what type of comp you have, a simple upgrade of the graphics card could possibly enable you to play nwn2. I installed a new card on my old comp and it worked fine. Of course a year later it crashed and I ended up buying a new one, but that’s neither here nor there.
December 16, 2008 at 2:00 am #57277Aye aye, no shpop talk here less it’s Titanphobia or philia. Hopefully it’s the philia.
Don’t make me choose your character. I can set up some interlude to the first episode. Rumors can fly early and open doors and avenues for anyone.
If your bringing in a maxed char I only warn of the baggage it brings and con’s it can impose. Same could be said about a level 1 new day of the episode, though, it would be dooable either way, and even more so if it was a new char.
First couple episodes wont be major battles.
December 16, 2008 at 3:25 am #57278I’m going to be on an xmas hiatus from work for a few weeks, so I should have time to come up with a new char and level him a bit to 3 or 4. So far I’m leaning towards making a CE Dwarven Cleric of Thrym (earth/war domains) or a NE elven bard/pale master. The problem with the bard would be difficult to level at low levels, so the cleric would be better.
I agree that my high level has alot of baggage and would take away from some of the combat goodness for everyone else, so I’ll leave him shelved. He’s pretty one dimensional at this point any way. Just out of curiousity, but how many others are making new characters for this, maybe we could get together before hand.
