The stuff I heard was about connecting to other cities, fire department issues, stuff like that. It seems they sacrificed playability when they went to online. The good news is that most online games do get better over time, if they are updated regularly.

No time, really. I heard the new versions of Sim City online weren’t that great – a lot of complaints about bugginess in how the city runs.

I’ve been in with Gemmel. Made my first Barkskin potion the other day! But I can’t go into the dangerous spots alone, so let me know good times to go IG.

Eight days no power, with a snowstorm the 5th day. The worst was no gasoline supplies. People were ready to fight over the gas, not because of the cars, but because the gas was needed for the generators. The Long Beach area is STILL without power for the most part, because the buildings had their basements and first floors under water. Other than that, things were just peachy. 95mph winds were recorded in Islip. 🙂

The point I have to make has nothing at all to do with the project, per se. I have expressed this opinion to T, on occasion. It used to be you could actually invest in companies directly, but now U.S. law is so screwed up, it would cost them more than your investment to do the damn paperwork. So they have resorted to things like Kickstarter, where they don’t give you money, but “perks” so they can (hopefully) avoid the Federal oversight. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve contributed to at least one Kickstarter project (Shadowrun Online), and would again. I’d just like to be able to actually invest, rather than get “bonuses” that I may not want. But I don’t have $50.000 to do it with, so it’s basically Kickstarter or nothing.
I just find that kind of sad.

I did. Gemmel doesn’t have many skills, except for chomping on enemies, and saying silly things. Fun, but not terribly useful. Monty has mad skilz, plus a history and an in-depth character. 🙂

BTW, I actually did some research on the vid, because it was so well done. Sadly, the guy that did it put out a call for peeps to be in the video, so I doubt she was a player, just an actress. But she did a great job, and I still watch the vid once in a while, because it’s funny, and she’s hot.

LOL!!!! That was classic! Shows how incredibly STUPID the league is. The only topper is the NHL, after finally getting some publicity and fans, losing an ENTIRE SEASON, and going right back to the obscure sport that it was originally. This is known as “destiny”.

I was never that familiar with Tomlin, but having watched that video, now I see why the Steelers have been doing so well. He knows how to lead and inspire without being a jerk. And I agree, anyone that is interested in his team enough to talk with the ball boy and remember personal information, cares about his players, and as a direct result, they will play better for him.
I also like that they are having fun out there – football is a game, not a business, at least to me.

    Ok, then, let’s formalize this….

    Who is in as DM’s?

Also, who should be the central NPC characters/creatures involved?

What should we have as our theme?

Where in Markshire should it take place?

When is pretty obvious, but a recommended start time?

Why, in game lore, is this happening?

How do we make it happen, and can it ever happen again? (hehe…)
